Bushmills Salmon & Whiskey Festival

The Bushmills Salmon & Whiskey Festival, celebrates local heritage and the fine produce in the area. It returns this year on Friday 7th of June with the Bushmills Banquet, then continues on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June with two days of fantastic entertainment and activities spread across Bushmills Main Street, Milliennium Park, Bushmills Distillery and The Salmon Fisheries.

The Bushmills Banquet is back by popular demand. This is a very special gourmet evening celebrating Bushmills Irish Whiskey and festival themed dishes from local participating restaurants and artisan food producers, showcasing the very best of Bushmills hospitality. Tickets are on sale from Wednesday 1st May 2019 and are available from Tartine at Distillers Arms and The French Rooms. Details available on the Bushmills Banquet Facebook page.

On Saturday our celebrity chef Ian Orr (Chef Patron of Browns Bonds Hill Group) will whet our appetites and enthuse us with his inventive and creative flair. His inspiration for his menus comes from researching new ingredients and new techniques focusing on the use of mouth-watering local produce.

There will be a Bake Off competition on Sunday so why not enter? There are different categories for all ages/skill levels and even a professional category for all those experienced pastry chefs. Bake your entries at home and bring them along to the ‘Festival Marquee’ at the riverside car park by midday on the 8th June. Prizes and certificates will be presented to all winners. Judging will be by Celebrity Chef IAN ORR.

Main Street will be closed to traffic on Saturday & Sunday allowing Naturally North Coast & Glens market to provide stalls incorporating local products and food produce from local businesses, creating a vibrant and friendly atmosphere. You will be able browse the market stalls including arts and crafts stands while listening to free live music.

Bushmills Distillery will be offering free whiskey tasting throughout Saturday & Sunday at the Distillery.

The Salmon Fisheries are open on Saturday and Sunday. This year is the International Year of the Salmon and the Fisheries will provide educational activities, complimented by informative stands and interactive activities such as angling simulators or fly tying demonstrations.
