The 34th Cooley-Collins Traditional Irish Music Festival will be happening in Gort, Co. Galway over the October Bank Holiday weekend. The Festival honours the memory of accordionist Joe Cooley and the great tin whistle player Kieran Collins. It will run from the 26th until the 30th of October. One can expect a great weekend of Music, Song and Dance featuring a great line up of musicians from the US, UK and from all over Ireland plus Gort’s own local musicians.

The festival will also feature a number of CD launches over the weekend.

Over the Festival Weekend, there will be traditional music sessions occurring in the Pubs throughout the town. These sessions will be happening at different times, day and night, and are marvelous free entertainment open for all to attend. Participating in them will be some of Ireland’s finest musicians.
