The 13th annual Cos Cos Sean-Nós Festival will be held in Rathcormac, Drumcliffe, in the shadow of the famous Benbulben mountain in the heart of Yeat’s Country, Co. Sligo and runs from May 6th to May 12th. It will bring together some of the country’s finest Sean-Nós dancers, musicians, singers, poets and storytellers.

This year’s event promises to be the best ever. This festival is a great family event and everyone is welcome for a great week, or weekend, of Culture, Craic, Ceol agus Damhsa.

The Festival will kick off on Monday 6th May with the Festival 8km Run and Walk. Registration for this event will be in Rathcormac Hall from 10.30am.

On Saturday a series of Workshops will be held. The workshops and tutors will be Sean Nós Dancing Edel Ní ChurraoinBodhrάn Junior Davey; Accordion Martin Donaghue; Donegal Clap Dance Joe McGuiggan; Scottish Step Dancing Joy Dunlop; Brush Dance Eimear MulveySinging Carmel Gunning; 2-Hand & Barn Dances Connie McKelvey.

The Big Dancing Concert on Saturday night the 11th May will include dancers: Broga Briomhar, Airc Damhsa Dancers, The Tommy Stenson Group, Orna MacAndrew SD, Mary Gallagher SD, Connie McKelvey, Jonathon & Sean McCloy, Eileen Ryan & Kevin Cuniffe, Joe & Mary McGuiggan, Laura Ganley, Joy Dunlop, Edel Ní Churraoin, Scoil Ursla Set Dancers, Strawboys, Frank & Eileen Sweeney and Cos Cos Dancers.

A highlight of the festival will be the The Wild Atlantic Sean Nós Dancing Championships on Sunday 12th May and later on in the day there will be The Festival Grand Céilí featuring the Dartry Céilí Band.
