Féile Cheoil Larry Reynolds 2019

The 6th Féile Cheoil Larry Reynolds will take place in Ballinasloe from Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th September. A weekend which was established to commemorate the life of Larry Reynolds but also to promote the East Galway Style of Music and to encourage and develop Irish Music, Heritage and Culture in the region.

The weekend festivities will commence on Thursday night at 9.30pm with the Singers Circle in the Dunlo Tavern.

The opening Concert, ‘Up Close and Personal’ in Gibbons’ Pillar House featuring Mícheál and MacDara Ó’Raghallaigh. This promises to be a superb evening of Irish Music. Tickets are €5 and can be booked online here.

There will Music, Traditional Singing & Sean Nós Dance Workshops with some of the finest tutors in the business, a Photo Exhibition of “Larry Reynolds and other Musicians from East Galway”, a Farmers Market and Craft Exhibitions on the street, a Pub Session Trail, an Historical Walking Tour of Ballinasloe, a Lecture on ‘The East Galway Style of Music’ in Ballinasloe Town Library, a Céilí Mór in Gullane’s Hotel with the Ui Bhriain Céilí Band all the way from Kerry, a Junior Session in The Dunlo Tavern, as well as many other trad seisiúns during the weekend.

For the fourth year running Féile Cheoil Larry Reynolds will host an Open All-Ireland Fiddle Competition which has a cash prize with the Larry Reynolds Perpetual Trophy for 1st Place and a Medal for 2nd Place.
