A Taste of West Cork

A Taste of West Cork Food Festival is an annual, ten day September event that celebrates not only West Cork’s unique food culture, but also the people and land that produce that food. It is one of Ireland’s longest running food festivals and is fast becoming a premier event on the food calendar. A pure joy to the senses, with more than 250 events, the festival is a culinary adventure through the dramatic backdrop of 41 local towns, villages and 8 islands; stretching from the sandy beaches of Inchydoney, to the splintered landscape of the Beara peninsula and reaching out into the Wild Atlantic Ocean through the scattered islands off Roaringwater Bay.

The Taste of West Cork Food Festival understands how important local food is to the regional economy and with its wealth of artisan food producers, supportive retailers and markets, talented chefs and award winning restaurants, West Cork continues to attract visitors. Its world renowned food combined with the most idyllic landscape makes this Festival the perfect festival for all the family.

The Festival programme includes the much loved traditional open air street food and craft market, daily walks, interactive workshops, food demonstrations and tastings, themed nights in restaurants, traditional music sessions and much more.

There is something to tempt every palate and with many of the events being free or with only a minimum charge there is something to suit everyone’s pocket.
