This annual festival will see musicans, singers and dancers converge on the Co. Clare village of Clarecastle for its annual Céilí at the Crossroads Festival. This festival is a week-long festival which starts with its official opening in Abbey Hall.
The Céilí at the Crossroads Festival will officially open on Sunday 15th July in Abbey Hall at 8pm with a Comhaltas Concert featuring the Shaskeen Céilí Band.
If you have an interest in either music classes or set dancing then you are in luck. You will have the chance to partake in either the music classes or the dancing or both if you fancy.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, there will be Music Classes in the Clareabbey GAA Clubhouse. These classes will run from 7pm – 9pm each evening.
Wednesday will also see the Clare Set Dancing Workshop in Abbey Hall. this will start in the evening at 8pm. There will also be Set Dancing Workshops on Saturday morning in Abbey Hall starting at 11am.
The music and dance classes are open for both beginners and improvers, so all are welcome.
Thursday night will see the John Joe Casey Tribute Night happen in Kate O’Reilly’s Bar starting at 9pm and in Powers Lounge on Friday night at 9pm, the Singers Club will be in action.
Saturday night will see the Céilí Mór with the Star of Munster Céilí Band in Abbey Hall. The Céilí will start at 10pm.
Late afternoon on Sunday there will be a Céilí at Kerins Cross. This will run from 4pm until 7pm.
With wonderful music, song and dance, there will be something for the whole family at the Céilí at the Crossroads Festival. So for a really great week of music, song and dance Clarecastle is definitely the place to be.
