Cos Cos Sean-Nós Festival

The 12th annual Cos Cos Sean-Nós Festival will be held in Rathcormac, Drumcliffe, in the shadow of the famous Benbulben mountain in the heart of Yeat’s Country, Co. Sligo and runs from May 7th to May 13th. It will bring together some of the country’s finest Sean-Nós dancers, musicians, singers, poets and storytellers.

This year’s event promises to be the best ever. This festival is a great family event and everyone is welcome for a great week, or weekend, of Culture, Craic, Ceol agus Damhsa.

Saturday evening will see ‘In Tune for Life’ concert welcoming over 70 musicians, singers and dancers from Co. Tipperary for a fabulous Festival celebration concert.

A highlight of the festival will be the The Wild Atlantic Sean Nós Dancing Championships on Sunday and later on in the day there will be The Big Celebration Céilí will featuring the World Famous Kilfenora Céilí Band.

On Saturday a series of Workshops will be held. The workshops and tutors will be Sean Nós Dancing Liam Scanlon; Bodhrάn & Bones Junior Davey; Sean Nós Singing – Lorcán Mac Mathúna; Brush Dancing for Children and Teens with Oireachtas Winner Emer Mulvey Geevagh; Bodhrán and Bones Junior Davey; Singing and Lilting Meaití Jó Shéamuis; Learn Portuguese Stick Dancing with Haiti Queen Belarus Tutors; Set Dancing Maureen Culliton.
