Back for its eighth year, Dingle Tradfest will provide lovers of traditional music with a varied programme of events from Thursday the 6th of September until Sunday the 9th of September.
As part of the festival programme there will be a host of concerts, dance workshops, walks and session trail which includes Cafés, Restaurants and Pubs throughout the town of Dingle.
Sean-nós/Irish dancing lovers will get a chance to see renowned dancer and teacher Edwina Guckian and five times world champion Irish dancer David Geaney in action. Edwina will also give a workshop in Sean-nós dance over the weekend.
Friday will see An Saol ó Dheas/RnaG being broadcast live from the Tradfest by RTE in Curran’s Pub. This will start at 12pm.
Every year to date, Dingle Tradfest has been a massive success featuring some of the best trad talent on offer and this year will be no exception.
With the festival being held in one of Ireland’s most scenic towns located on the Dingle Peninsula, a place which is well known for its rugged beauty and exceptionally clean beaches where better to enjoy an end of Summer festival.
