The Féile Chnoc na Gaoithe, Tulla Traditional Music Festival, will take place from the 17th to the 19th May 2019. It will be a weekend of top notch traditional Irish music, song, dance and gaeilge, in the heartland of East Clare.

Over the weekend there will be Concerts, C.D. Launches, Recitals, Workshops, Singing and Music Sessions, Comhrá Gaeilge and Fiddle Competitions for all ages.

Friday will see the weekend kick off with a concert featuring Danny O’Mahony & Tony Linnane starting at 8.30pm in The Oratory at Cnoc na Gaoithe.

On Saturday there will be an evening of music with Manus McGuire & Emily Flack in The Oratory at Cnoc na Gaoithe starting at 8pm.

For Sunday, there will be an Open Air Céilí featuring the Cnoc na Gaoithe Céilí Band at 3pm followed by the Tulla Céilí Band at 4pm in The Square.

At 6pm there will be a C.D. Launches with The Queally Sisters, Aoibheann & Pamela with their C.D. Beyond the Bellows and The Bow followed by the launch by Fergus Bogue of his C.D. Direach ón gCroí in Minogues Back Room.

On Saturday, May 18th there will be a series of Workshops which will run from 10am to 1pm. They will be held at Chnoc na Gaoithe. The instruments being covered this year are Fiddle, Banjo, Tin Whistle and Flute.

For the Workshops the Tutors will be for Fiddle: Manus McGuire & Tony Linnane; Tin Whistle: Gearóid McNamara; Banjo: Keith O’LoughlinConcertina: Liam O’BrienFlute: Órlaith McAuliffe and Accordion: Fergus Bogue.

Throughout the weekend, there will be traditional music sessions occurring in the local Bars. These sessions will be happening during the afternoon & night and are marvellous free entertainment open for all to attend.

Pre-booking is advised for the Concerts/Workshops/Master Classes with Tickets available from the Tulla Pharmacy, Custy’s in Ennis or Chnoc na Gaoithe.
