It is with regret that the Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival will not be going ahead on account of Covid-19 restrictions.
The theme of this years Festival will be ‘The State of Us’ and in the sharing of stories the individual selves we all are, you and me, Ireland, the world.
The 2020 Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival is thrilled to welcome some truly gifted storytellers who will share with us their worlds of poetry, fiction and non-fiction.
The Festival was established in 2009 and takes place annually at the end of March. Preview events are held to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8th. The Festival is produced by dlr Libraries, the Libraries section of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. Our poetry strand incorporates the Irish Times Poetry Now Award and the Shine Strong Award. There is also a strong Family and Schools programme.
With 50 events taking place from Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th March, there’s plenty for those who like their literature with a side of politics or debate. All festival events are on sale now.
The Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival venues are in the Dún Laoghaire dlr LexIcon and the Pavilion Theatre and in Dundrum, dlr Mill Theatre. Please be aware that some events are free and some will require tickets.
