Phil Murphy Weekend

Now in its 27th year the Phil Murphy Weekend festival takes place in the historical coastal village of Carrig-on-Bannow. This sleepy, three-pub town awakens for the weekend festival and smells the alluring aroma of tunes wafting through the warm summer air.

There will be a line-up to tickle the fancy of anyone with a healthy appreciation for music, song, dance and craic with Concerts, Workshops, Ceilí, Trad Sessions,
Singing Gathering, Childrens’ Entertainment & more.

Lúnasa who are on their album summer release tour will be the headline act on Saturday the 28th in the festival marquee. They are a trad band not to be missed!

The Phil Murphy Weekend is very much a festival for the whole family with something for everyone with Ceilís in the Community Centre, Concerts in the Festival Marquee, Recitals in the Church, Trad Sessions in the Pubs and Workshops for those wishing to improve their playing skills in the School. Along with a variety of events specifically focused for children.
