Taste of Wicklow

The Taste of Wicklow Food Festival is a family friendly annual festival held in Wicklow Town. It started in 2013 and showcases all that is good about Wicklow produce. Now in its 7th Year, the festival will be held at the stunning Abbey Grounds in Wicklow Town.

The festivities will kick off on Friday night with the Outdoor Cinema at The Abbey. Gates 9pm with the award-winning film, The Greatest Showman, starting at 10.20pm

The Taste of Wicklow festivities will continue on Saturday with a variety of national and local talents ready to put on an unforgettable show sure to electrify the crowd starting from 5pm and running on until 10pm. The music programme will feature local talent followed by a DJ and then Ireland’s premier Bob Marley tribute act, Jameire who will be followed by Promises & Lies to finish the day off.

The festival will feature some 30 artisan food and craft stalls who have been tweaking their delicacies for months just for this moment, and can’t wait for you to sample the absolute best in food that Wicklow has to offer.

Sunday will see a series of masterclass demonstrations by celebrity chefs Catherine Fulvio, Paul Kelly, Renée Martin and Niall Murphy together with local chefs will be cooking up a storm throughout the day. So why not attend one or more of these masterclass demonstrations and pick up some delicious recipe ideas.

The Taste of Wicklow isn’t just a food and music festival, it turns Wicklow’s Abbey Grounds into a veritable wonderland for all ages with something for everyone with a range of free entertainment including children’s games, face painters, entertainers, puppet and magician shows, to name just a few of the activities. So come and experience all the tastes, sounds, and craic over the weekend.
