The West Waterford Festival of Food has been running in Dungarvan and West Waterford annually since 2008. The main base of festival is the beautiful harbour town of Dungarvan – a must see if you plan to visit Waterford. The Festival has become synonymous with fabulous food, fantastic family events and most importantly lots of fun.
The Festival programme provides a host of both free and ticketed events for young and old to enjoy. Events include Restaurant Trails, Cookery Demonstrations, Foraging Trails, Food Producer’s Tours, Workshops, Seminars, Story Telling, Walking Tours, Picnic in the Park, Farmers and Country Market plus numerous other events showcasing all that is on offer in Dungarvan and surrounding regions from our food producers, restaurateurs and hospitality providers.
Taste the best of the county with the local Farmer’s Market on Thursday and the weekly Country Market on Friday, the festival’s Quayside Market on Saturday with a seafood theme, all culminating in the famed Festival Market on Sunday when over 100 stalls fill the town centre to bring you the very best of local and Irish artisan food.
