The Graiguenamanagh Town of Books Festival is now in its 16th year. From its origins as a small weekend event promoted on an experimental basis for one year, it has over the years grown into a fully fledged festival that features art, music, food and crafts, and a whole host of fringe activities.
The festival sees the medieval riverside town of Graiguenamanagh filled with over 30 independent Booksellers offering thousands of antiquarian, general second-hand, children’s, specialist and bargain books to suit all tastes and budgets. Readings, book valuations and entertainment will also be on offer giving visitors and locals alike the opportunity to browse and enjoy a treasure trove of reading.
The Graiguenamanagh Town of Books Festival still retains its original vision, to transform Graiguenamanagh, for one weekend only, into a book lovers’ paradise where booksellers are matched up with a number of empty spaces in the town, not to mention facilitated by local businesses and organisations who have been supportive of the festival since its inception.
Discover thousands of bargain, rare & specialist books from booksellers all over Ireland and the UK. The Town of Books festival has something for everyone and not just fabulous books. There’s music, talks, walks, events, crafts and food for the whole family to enjoy!
